Informal settlements in Iran, not only in major cities but also in small and medium cities, and the surrounding metropolis. One of the metropolises of the country is faced with an informal settlement in Karaj which has a population of about 95 thousand people marginalized. This research focuses on the study of informal settlements in Mahmoodabad village located in North Branch. Research methods, descriptive - analytic study. Combined data collection practices of library and archival field. Questionnaires to collect data and the number of households are 220. The results show that the main cause of unemployment, emigration and immigration to this country because it is the most inexpensive land and housing Most houses built in their village and fix the damage.
