The Assessment of Development Status Using the Model of Numarical Taxonomy (The Case of Cities Located in Hamadan Province)

Abstract
Regional  planning with the aim of regional development and reducing its disparities, is one of the most important issues in developing countries. The first step in regional planning is recognizing the existing economical, social and cultural disparities in different areas.
The present study aimed to determine the degree of cities economical, social and cultural development in the cities of Hamedan province and categorizing them based on their degree of development in the related areas. To do so, the researcher used the analysis of numerical taxonomy method. Into this aim, using the latest statistics information in1389,37 variables in four measures(educational, cultural, health and communication) were studied.
The findings revealed that the facilities and services have not been  distributed   homogeneously in the cities of Hamedan, so that  among the 9 counties, Hamedan county as a heterogeneous region, Tuyserkan and Razan as developing counties, Kabudarahang, Malayer, Famenin, Nahavand and Bahar counties as  less developed cities and Asadabad city is underdeveloped .
The cities of Hamedan province are not similar in terms of the selected indicators (education, culture and health communication) and they have many differences.
