The environment is one of the main pillars of sustainable development.Due to the significant reduction and expiration of non-renewable energy sources and environmental pollution emanating from them, renewable energy sources have got a special place as they are permanent, natural and low-cost. this study was designed to investigate in accordance with climate. The research methodology is descriptive-analytical and also it is based on library researches and field studies. In this study, to determine the important and considered climate criteria in the climatic design of the Tabriz city, plenty of meteorological data in climatic design were collected; including minimum and maximum temperature, relative humidity, rainfall and wind data; during the statistical period of 1951 to 2012. After determining the effective criteria in climatic design, the ANP model was used to weight them. Afterwards the final weight was determined and finally resulted in deriving weights and prioritizing them from this viewpoint. Criterion of using nearby buildings and plants, choosing construction materials with high heat capacity, increasing the number southern facing windows, exposure of buildings in order to take advantage of the winter sun, designing semi-protected areas to moderate weather in all year long, Embedding sunny parts in buildings for the maximum use of solar energy, criterion of shape and orientation of buildings to reduce the summer sun, criterion of using land surface roughness, adjacent buildings and plants to exploit more from the summer breeze, shape and orientation of the body of the building to maximize the usage of the summer breeze, and criterion of using the sun, have got the highest value.
